Glee star and Broadway veteran Matthew Morrison is planning to work on his previously reported first solo CD in London during June, according to the Associated Press.

Morrison will be writing the music, and will be backed by a large orchestra. According to the AP, he describes the style as a "cross between Michael Buble and Justin Timberlake." As previously reported, Morrison signed a deal with Mercury Records to record the CD, which is expected to be released in the fall.

If you're a gleek and you don't commonly watch the Tony Awards -- I know there are some of you out there -- then here's a reason to tune in this year: Glee's Lea Michele and Matthew Morrison will be performing at this year's ceremonies, happening on June 13 at the Radio City Music Hall and aired live on CBS.

This shouldn't come as much of a surprise, as both Michele and Morrison are Broadway veterans: the former coming to fame with Spring Awakening, and the latter in the original run of Hairspray.

Other performers this year include the casts of La Cage aux Folles (featuring Kelsey Grammer) and A Little Night Music (featuring Catherine Zeta-Jones), as well as the band Green Day, whose music form the backbone of the Tony-nominated musical American Idiot. Sean Hayes will be hosting the event.

Now, I don't think we'll see the two perform something off Glee. Any thoughts on what they'd do, gleeks?
